The Book of Exodus
| 001 | So, the Egyptians made the children of Israel serve with Rigor | 1:13 |
| 002 | He (Pharaoh) said. “When you do the duties of the midwife for the Hebrew women, and see them on the birthstools, if it is a son, then you shall kill him; but if it is a daughter, then she shall live.” | 1:16 |
| 003 | But the midwives feared God, and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the male children alive | 1:17 |
| 004 | And the midwives (Shiphrah and Puah) said to Pharaoh, “Because the Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian women, for they are lively and give birth before the midwives come to them | 1:19 |
| 005 | Therefore, God dealt well with the midwives, and the people multiplied and grew very mighty | 1:20 |
| 006 | And a man of the house of Levi went and took as wife a daughter of Levi. So, the woman conceived and bore a son. And when she saw that he was a beautiful child, she hid him three months | 2:1-2 |
| 007 | And the child grew, and she brought him to Pharaoh’s, daughter, and he become her son. So, she called his name Moses, ‘saying, Because I drew him out of the water | 2:10 |
| 008 | And he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his brethren. So, he looked this way and that way, and when he saw no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand | 2:11-12 |
| 009 | Now it happened in the process of time that the king of Egypt died. Then the children of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry came up to God because of the bondage. So, God heard their groaning and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac and with Jacob. And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God acknowledged them | 2:23-25 |
| 010 | Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to HOREB, the mountain of God | 3:1 |

| 016 | So, he shall be your spokesman to the people, and he himself shall be as a mouth for you, and you shall be to him as God | 4:16 |
| 017 | Then you shall say to Pharaoh, “Thus says the LORD: Israel is My son, My first born | 4:22 |
| 018 | So, I say to you, let My son go that he may serve Me. But if you refuse to let him, go, indeed I will kill your son, your firstborn | 4:23 |
| 019 | And Pharaoh said, “Who is the LORD, that I should obey His voice to let Israel go? | 5:2 |
| 020 | So, they said, “The God of the Hebrews has met with us. Please, let us go three days, ‘journey into the desert and Sacrifice to the Lord our God, lest He fall upon us with pestilence or with the sword | 5:3 |
| 021 | But he said, “You are idle! You are idle! Therefore, you say, let us go and sacrifice to the LORD | 5:17 |
| 022 | Therefore, go now and work; for no straw shall be given you, yet you shall deliver the quota of bricks | 5:18 |
| 023 | And God spoke to Moses and said to him, “I am the LORD. I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty, but by My name LORD, I was not known to them | 6:2-3 |
