001Blessed is the man who walks not in the Counsel of the ungodly, not stands in the Path of sinners, not sits in the Seat of the Scornful1:1
002But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law, he meditates day and night1:2
003He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither, and whatever he does shall prosper.1:3
004You are My Son, today I have begotten You2:7
005Hear me when I call, O God of righteousness! You have relived me when I was in distress4:1
006Be angry, and do not sin, meditate within you hear on your bed and be still4:4
007You have made him a little lower than the angles, and you have crowned him with glory and honour8:5
008You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; you have put all things under his feet8:6
009You shall judge the world in righteousness, and he shall administer judgment for the people in uprightness9:8
010If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?11:3
011The lord is in Holy temple, the LORD’s throne is in heaven, his eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men11:4
012For the LORD is righteous, He loves righteousness; His countenance beholds the upright11:7
013The words of the LORD are pure words, like silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times12:6
014But I have trusted in Your mercy; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation13:5
015There is none who does good, no, not one14:6
016To the saints who are on the earth, they are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight16:3
017For you will not leave my soul in Sheol, nor will you allow Your one to see corruption16:10
018For You will light my lamp; the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness18:28
019As soon as they hear of me, they obey me; the foreigners submit to me18:44
020The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork, day unto day utters speech, and night unto night reveals knowledge19:1-2
021The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul19:7
022Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of heart be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my redeemer19:14
023May He grant you according to your heart desire, and fulfil all your purpose20:4
024May the LORD fulfil all your petitions20:5
025My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?22:1
026They pierced My hands and My feet22:16
027They divide My garments among them, and for clothing they cast lots22:18
028The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want23:1
029Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever23:6

031Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions25:7
032For Your name’s sake, O LORD, pardon my iniquity, for it is great25:11
033And He will show them His covenant25:14
034Look on my affliction and my pain, and forgive all my sins25:18
035The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?27:1
036When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take care of me27:10
037I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living27:13
038You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness30:11
039Into your hand I commit my spirit31:5
040Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered32:1
041Blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity32:2
042You are my hiding place; you shall preserve me from trouble; you shall surround me with songs of deliverance32:7
043I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye32:8
044Do not be like the horse or like mule, which have no understanding32:9
045The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear him, and delivers them34:7
046Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him34:8
047The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing34:10
048Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking guile34:13
049The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry34:15
050Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all34:19
051He guards all his bones; not one of them is broken34:20
052Delight yourself also in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart37:4
053I have been young, and now am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread37:25
054Wait on the LORD, and keep His way, and He shall exalt you to inherit the land, when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it37:34
055I said, “I will guard my ways, Lest I sin with my tongue; I will restrain my mouth with a muzzle, while the wicked are before me39:1
056LORD, make me to know my end, and what is the measure of my days, that I may know how frail I am39:4
057He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my fee upon a rock, and established my steps40:2
058My iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of my head; therefore, my heart fails me40:12
059Blessed is he who considers the poor; the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble41:1
060As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You, O God42:1
061GOD is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble46:1
062For when he dies, he shall carry nothing away, his glory shall not descend after him49:17
063He shall call to the heavens from above and the earth, that He may judge His people50:4
064Let the heavens declare His righteousness, for God Himself is Judge50:6
065Seeing you hate instruction, and cast My words behind you?50:17
066Whoever offers praise glorifies Me50:23
067Blot out my transgression. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin51:2
068Behold, I was brought forth n iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me51:5
069Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom51:6
070Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow51:7
071Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me51:10
072For you do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it; you do not delight in burnt offering.51:16
073The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart-these, O God, You will not despise51:17
074Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice55:17
075Cast your burden on the LORD, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved55:22
076In God is my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God62:7
077Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your heart before Him, God is a refuse for us62:8
078If riches increase, do not set your heart on them62:10
079O God, you are my God, early will I seek you63:1
080You crown the year with Your goodness, And Your paths drip with abundance65:11
081God sets the solitary in families68:6
082And to God the Lord belong escapes from death68:20

084Because zeal for Your house has eaten me up69:9
085And for my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink69:21

090I said, “You are gods.” And all of you are children of the Most High82:6
091That men may know that You, whose name alone is the LORD, are the Most High over all the earth83:18
092For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand, I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, that dwell in the tents of wickedness84:10
093Mercy and truth have met together; Righteousness and peace have kissed each other85:10
094Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Mercy and truth go before Your face89:14
095The days of our lives are seventy years, and if by reason of strength they are eighty years, yet their boast is only labour and sorrow, for it is soon cut off, and we fly away90:10
096So, teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom90:12
097He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty91:1
098A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you91:7
099No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling, for He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. They shall bear you up in their hands, lets you dash your foot against a stone91:10-12
100Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore, I will deliver him91:14
101I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honour him, with long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation91:15-16
102The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon92:12
103Your testimonies are very sure, Holiness adorns Your house, O LORD, forever93:5
104Sing to the LORD, bless His name; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day96:2
105Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at His footstool, for He is holy99:5
106Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands! Serve the LORD with gladness; come before His present with singing100:1
107It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves, we are His people and the sheep of His pasture100:3
108For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations100:5
109Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name!103:1
110Bless the LORD o my soul, and forget not all His benefits103:2
111For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him,103:11
112As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us103:12
113As a father pities his children, so the LORD pities those who fear Him103:13
114As for man, his days are like grass, as a flower of the field, so he flourishes, For the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more103:15
115The LORD has established His throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all103:19
116He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions107:20
117The LORD said to my Lord, sit at My right hand, till I make your enemies Your footstool110:1

119The LORD has sworn, and will not relent, “You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek110:4
120He has dispersed abroad, he has given to the poor, His righteousness endures forever112:9
121He raises the poor out of the dust, and lifts the needy out of the ash heap, that He may seat him with princes- with the princes of His people113:7-8
122May the LORD give you increase more and more, you and your children115:14
123May you be blessed by the LORD, who made heaven and earth115:15
124What shall I render to the LORD, for all His benefits toward me? I will take up the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of LORD116:12-13
125Precious in the sight of the LORD, is the death of His saints116:15
126Oh, praise the LORD, all you Gentiles! Laud Him all you, people! For His merciful kindness is great towards, and the truth of the LORD endures forever, Praise the LORDPsalm 117
127The LORD is on my side; I will not fear, what can man do to me?118:6
128It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man, it is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes118:8
129The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone118:22
130This is the day which the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it118:24

132How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your Word119:9

145Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever, As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people from this time forth and forever125:1-2
146Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy He who continually goes froth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing bringing his sheaves with him126:5-6
147Unless the LORD builds the house, they labour in vain who build it; unless the LORD guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain, It is vain for you to rise up early ti sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows, for so He gives His beloved sleep127:1-2
148Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit o f the womb is His reward127:3
149Blessed is every one who fears the LORD who walks in His ways128:1
150Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine in the very heart of your house, your children like olive plants all around your table128:3
151Yes, may you see your children’s children128:6
152For the LORD has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His habitation: This is My resting place forever, here I will dwell, for I have desired it132:13
153Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity?133:1
154The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands, They have mouths, but they do not speak; eyes they have, but they do not see; they have ears, but they do not hear, nor is there any breath in their mouths, those who make them are like them, so is everyone who trusts in them135:15-18
155And rescued us from our enemies, for His mercy endures forever; Who gives food to all flesh, for His mercy endures forever136:24-25
156For You have magnified your word above all Your name138:2
157You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off139:2
158If I ascent into heaven, You are there, if I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there139:8
159I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well139:14
160Happy are the people whose God is the LORD144:15
161The LORD is righteous in all His ways, Gracious in all His works145:17
162He makes peace in your borders, and fills you with the finest wheat147:14
163Praise Him all His angels; Praise Him, all His hosts!148:2

The Proverbs

001My son, hear the instruction of your father, and do not forsake the law of your mother1:8
002Wisdom calls aloud outside; she raises her voice in the open squares, She cries out in the chief concourses, at the opening of the gates in the city, she speaks her words1:20-21
003Turn at my reproof; surely, I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you1:23
004For the LORD gives wisdom, from His mouth come knowledge and understanding2:6
005Let not mercy and truth forsake you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart3:3
006Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths3:5-6
007Honour the LORD with your possessions, and with the first fruits of all your increase3:9
008So, your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine3:10
009She (wisdom) is more precious than rubies, and all the things you may desire cannot compare with her3:15
010The LORD by wisdom founded the earth; by understanding He established the heavens3:19
011Do not be afraid of sudden terror, nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes;3:25
012The wise shall inherit glory, but shame shall be legacy of fools3:35
013Let your eyes look straight ahead, and your eyelids look right before you4:25
014Remove your way far from her (an immoral woman), and do not go near the door of her house5:8
015Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise, which having no captain, overseer or ruler, provides her supplies in the summer, and gathers her food in the harvest6:6
016My son keep your father’s command, and do not forsake the law of your mother6:20

023Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, but righteousness delivers from death10:2
024He who deals with a slack hand becomes poor, but the hand of the diligent makes one rich10:4

027The blessing of the LORD makes on rich, and He adds no sorrow with it10:22
028The fear of the wicked will come upon him, and the desire of the righteous will be granted10:24

030The righteous will never be removed, but the wicked will not inhabit the earth10:30
031Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death11:4

033He who is surety for a stranger will suffer for it, but one who hates being surety is secure11:15

042A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children. But the wealth of the sinners is stored up for the righteous13:22
043Every wise woman builds her house, but the foolish pulls it down with her hands14:1
044There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death14:12
045The poor man is hated even by his own neighbour, but the rich has many friends14:20

056He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city16:32
057He who mocks the poor reproaches his Maker, He who is glad at calamity will not go unpunished17:5

059A merry heart does good like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones17:22
060Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace; when he shuts his lips, he is considered perceptive17:28

070The spirit of a man is the lamp of the LORD, searching all the inner depths of his heart20:27

088If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink, For so you will heap coals of fire on his head, and the LORD will reward you25:21-22
089it is better to dwell in a corner of a housetop, than in a house shared with a contentious woman25:24
090It is not good to eat much honey; so, to seek one’s own glory is not glory25:27
091Whoever digs a pit will fall into it, and he who rolls a stone will have it roll back on him26:27
092Open rebuke is better than love carefully concealed27:5
093Hell, and destruction are never full; so, the eyes of man are never satisfied27:20
094Be diligent to know the state of your flocks, and attend to your herds;27:23
095For riches are not forever, nor does a crown endure to all generations27:24
096The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion28:1
097Better is the poor who walks in his integrity than one perverse in his ways, though he be rich28:6
098One who increases his possessions by usury and extortion, gathers it for him who will pity the poor28:8
099He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy28:13
100Whoever robs his father of his mother, and says, “It is no transgression, the same is companion to a destroyer28:24
101He who is of a proud heart stirs up strife, but he who trusts in the LORD will be prospered28:25
102He who gives to the poor will not lack, but he who hides his eyes will have many curses28:27
103When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan29:2
104The king establishes the land by justice, but he who receives bribes overthrows it29:4
105The rod and reproof give wisdom, but a child left to himself brings shame to his mother29:15
106An angry man stirs up strife, and a furious man abounds I transgression29:22
107A man’s pride will bring him low, but the humble in spirit will retain honour29:23
108Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him30:5
109Do not add to His words, let He reprove you, and you be found a liar30:6
110Remove falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches- feed me with the food You prescribe for me; lest I be full and deny You, and say, “Who is the LORD? Or lest I be poor and steal, and profane the name of my God30:8-9
111The eye that mocks his father, and scorns obedience to his mother, the ravens of the valley will pick it out, and the young eagles will eat it30:17
112There are four things which are little on the earth, but they are exceedingly wise; (the ants; the badgers; the locusts; and the spiders/lizard) 30:24-28
113Who can find a virtuous wife? for her worth is far above rubies31:10
114Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised31:30
