I thank Christ our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry1:12
This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners of whom I am chief1:15
Having faith and a good conscience, which some having rejected, concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck1:19
Therefore, I exhort first of all that, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all goodness and reverence2:1-2
Who (God) desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth2:4
There is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus2:5
I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence2:12
Adam was not deceived, but woman being deceived, fell into transgression2:14
A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behaviour, hospitable, able to teach; not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous; one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence3:2-4
For if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God3:5
God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit3:16
Every creature, of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksging4:4
For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer4:5
Do not neglect the gift that is in you4:14
Do not rebuke an older man, but exhort him as a father, the younger men as brothers, the older woman as mothers, the younger as sisters, with all purity5:1-2
But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever5:8
Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially those who labour in the Word and Doctrine5:17
You shall not muzzle an ox while treads out the grain and the labourer is worthy of his wages5:18
Those who are sinning rebuke in the presence of all, that the rest also may fear5:20
Do not lay hands on anyone hastily, nor share in other people’s sins; keep yourself pure5:22
Godliness with contentment is great gain6:6
For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing with these we shall be content6:7-8
The love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness and pierced themselves through with many sorrows6:10
But you, o man of God, flee these things, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness6:11
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses6:12
Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy6:17
Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share6;18
He (God) who is the blessed and only Potentate, the king of kings, and lord of Lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see to whom be honour and everlasting power. Amen6:15-16
